Naturally, I expected something piratey. I mean, it even had a skull and crossbones in the logo! So I got this whole group of people together, we were all set for this piratey dinner, roll inside and.... it's just a regular restaurant. Nothing remotely piratey about it. I looked like such a dumbass too, because I had convinced everyone of what an awesome night it was going to be - most of them didn't speak Japanese either so they wouldn't believe me when I told them that in fact, the sign said "Pirate's Kitchen" in Japanese. They just thought I made shit up. *sigh* And that was my pirate-bar-themed story :) Yeah, I’ve never heard of this holiday either, but it sounds like one I could get on board with :)
