\u00a0The truth is there weren&#8217;t that many Giants fans at Citi Field, but the Mets fans had very little to cheer about. \u00a0There were a lot of isolated groupings of Giants fans, and pretty much all of 302 in the Pepsi Porch was loud and cheering, as well as a group behind the visitor&#8217;s dugout. \u00a0The few times the Mets fans did get some chants going when the game was still tied, the Giants fans were drowned out.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Initially we boo&#8217;d, or Lets Go Mets&#8217;d, over the Giants cheering, but by the end of the game a lot of people had left and we were cold and there just wasn&#8217;t anything to cheer for. \u00a0Cowbell Man seemed awfully pitiful with very few people joining in.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/desmond.yfrog.com\/Himg612\/scaled.php?tn=0&amp;server=612&amp;filename=6dbbw.jpg&amp;xsize=640&amp;ysize=640\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Pepsi Porch Giants Fans\" src=\"http:\/\/desmond.yfrog.com\/Himg612\/scaled.php?tn=0&amp;server=612&amp;filename=6dbbw.jpg&amp;xsize=640&amp;ysize=640\" alt=\"\" width=\"384\" height=\"288\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The game was cold, it felt like April, or San Francisco. \u00a0Even with the Giants and Tim Lincecum on the mound, it felt like a poor showing of fans. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/metspolice.com\/2011\/05\/04\/lets-go-giants-chants-at-citi-field\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mets Police<\/a> did a little digging and found that a local bar sponsored a Giants Fan trip to Citi Field. \u00a0 If the Mets continue to flounder I imagine you can expect more of these types of events becoming affordable for groups.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I&#8217;m tired of Willie Harris. \u00a0He hit two double play balls and failed to even get a sacrifice in a key spot. \u00a0He&#8217;s quickly approaching Gary Matthews Jr levels and I hope he&#8217;s quickly off this team. \u00a0 I know some have soured on Jason \u00a0Bay, but this game would&#8217;ve been a lot different if he&#8217;d been in the lineup. \u00a0I don&#8217;t begrudge him the paternity leave, but the Mets missed him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In all three games against the Cy Young award winners lately I felt like the Mets have done a good job, but really they failed to get the big hit when it matter. \u00a0Key walks, singles and long AB to drive up pitch counts are nice and all, but if you don&#8217;t capitalize, it&#8217;s all for naught. \u00a0I really miss Johan Santana. \u00a0Get well soon Johan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Still, Tim Lincecum is quite good. \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/_4useG__rGQ8\/TcIiarp0r-I\/AAAAAAAABRY\/im71FP-k658\/IMG_5871.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Tim Lincecum\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/_4useG__rGQ8\/TcIiarp0r-I\/AAAAAAAABRY\/im71FP-k658\/IMG_5871.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"274\" height=\"403\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I do feel like the Mets will win the finale. \u00a0I sense a seven inning Pelfrey performance in which he gives up merely two runs on a double after a walk and a hit. \u00a0Izzy, K-Rod, game over. \u00a05-2 Mets.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At least, it felt like that didn&#8217;t it?
