Dickey: The King In The North!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Saw this post in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sportmanagementacademy.com\/2012\/06\/06\/a-baseball-game-of-thrones-r-a-dickeys-new-alliance\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Academy of Sports Management<\/a> about <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/d\/dicker.01.shtml?utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_campaign=Linker\" target=\"_blank\">R.A.  Dickey<\/a><\/strong>. \u00a0He&#8217;s a big fan of the Game Of Thrones, and since we know he&#8217;s a reader, perhaps the entire Song of Ice and Fire series. \u00a0 Dickey has changed his intro music to the theme song from the HBO show.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s pretty cool. \u00a0The post mentions that some Mets fans have taken to calling him &#8220;The King In The North!&#8221;, which is what Rob Stark&#8217;s followers use to hail their new king. \u00a0This is the first time I&#8217;ve heard it, but I&#8217;m always a fan of the Mets playing along with popular trends. \u00a0They should play the &#8220;The King In The North!&#8221; clip after every Dickey strikeout at Citi Field. \u00a0Before you inquire about rights to do so, remember plenty of teams already play clips of movies and shows and songs. \u00a0The Mets frequently play that clip from the movie Network about opening your window and shouting.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Maybe some fans could find a nice corner to make a Dickey K-corner, \u00a0but instead of K&#8217;s, the Stark&#8217;s dire wolf sigil from the show. \u00a0Or we could shout &#8220;The King In The North!&#8221; ourselves after strikeouts or strong innings but that might be harder to get going. \u00a0We could probably get it going on Twitter though.<br \/>\n<object width=\"560\" height=\"315\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/s7L2PVdrb_8?version=3&amp;hl=en_US\" \/><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\" \/><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\" \/><embed type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/s7L2PVdrb_8?version=3&amp;hl=en_US\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Saw this post in The Academy of Sports Management about R.A.
