Going to mix in some pictures from last night’s fireworks night win over Philly here with random stats and projections at the halfway point.<\/p>\n

The Mets are on pace for 88 wins on the season. \u00a0Last year the second wild card team would’ve been the Braves with 89. \u00a0Close, and that’s right around the level the Mets, Dodgers, and Pirates are at right now.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

David Wright is on pace for 20 home runs and 108 RBI. Also 96 walks and only 86 strikeouts. 86! Seven players in the majors already have more strikeouts than that. \u00a0He’s on pace for 198 hits and to take over the Mets franchise record in hits from Ed Kranepool.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

R.A. Dickey is on pace for 24 wins, 232 strikeouts and 2 wild pitches while only giving up 150 hits over 226 innings pitched.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

They’re on pace for 752 runs scored with 356 of them coming with two outs, against 688 runs allowed, 274 by the bullpen.<\/p>\n

They are third in the national league in runs scored, first in walks, and second to last in GIDP.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Despite the bullpens bad April and May, the Mets team ERA is 6th in the National League and better than the league average. \u00a0They have issued the fewest intentional walks in the league. \u00a0The starters have the third best ERA in the majors, only a tick behind the Nationals and the Dodgers. \u00a0They’re tied for the lead in team shutouts and complete game shut outs.<\/p>\n

The Mets are on pace for two no-hitters and four 1-hitters.<\/p>\n

They’re on pace to use 12 different people at shortstop.<\/p>\n
