{"id":2253,"date":"2012-09-17T09:09:28","date_gmt":"2012-09-17T13:09:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ceetar.com\/optimisticmetsfan\/?p=2253"},"modified":"2012-09-21T18:16:24","modified_gmt":"2012-09-21T22:16:24","slug":"citizen-bank-ballparks-beer-selection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.ceetar.com\/optimisticmetsfan\/2012\/09\/17\/citizen-bank-ballparks-beer-selection\/","title":{"rendered":"Citizen Bank Ballpark&#8217;s Beer Selection"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Clearly the Phillies only do one thing right, and that&#8217;s beer. \u00a0Philadelphia has a great beer scene, and Citizen&#8217;s Bank Ballpark is no different. \u00a0This <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheet\/ccc?key=0Ahd1JYZMLVnHdDl5bVFsdjJoMzBCTWFydGRvcWJFdVE#gid=0\" target=\"_blank\">list <\/a>was compiled by the producers of <a href=\"www.ChocolateCoveredMemories.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.ChocolateCoveredMemories.com<\/a> &amp; <a href=\"www.MyRuinedLife.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.MyRuinedLife.com<\/a> listing all (well, besides the obvious macro brews) the beers available, and it&#8217;s broken down by section. \u00a0(Something I probably should do next year with the Citi Field Beer List.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So while I like what the Mets have improved upon in the beer department, they&#8217;ve got a long way to go.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s take a quick peek.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Locals<\/strong>: They&#8217;ve got Flying Fish, Victory, Prism, Weyerbacher, Yards, Yuengling, Sly Fox, Troegs, and Philadelphia Brewing Company. \u00a0I may be missing a few off the list, but that&#8217;s quite a bit.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Styles<\/strong>: \u00a0If you&#8217;ve been paying attention, I&#8217;ve been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ceetar.com\/optimisticmetsfan\/wp-admin\/post.php?post=2197&amp;action=edit\" target=\"_blank\">suggesting the Mets need a dark beer<\/a>. \u00a0(They don&#8217;t even have Guinness) \u00a0CBP isn&#8217;t much better. \u00a0They&#8217;ve got Guinness though, and also 21st Amendment&#8217;s Back in Black which is a delicious black IPA but not quite the same as a rich, malty porter. \u00a0Baseball is a summer sport, but you can get chilly days early and late if your team hopes to make the playoffs. \u00a0Even some summer nights are chilly and could use a darker beer. \u00a0The rest of the selection is pretty broad across many styles.
