It’s a new season with fresh players. There’s nothing to be gained by comparing this year’s team to last year’s. So here’s a couple of phrases to avoid so we can all just enjoy the 2012 Mets season.
“That would’ve been a double/out last year”
“That wouldn’t have been a home run last year”
“Reyes would’ve gotten to that ball.”
“Reyes would be on third base right now.”
